MISSION STATEMENT

The purpose of the Florida General Baptist Convention, Inc., Women’s Department is to embrace the teachings and principals of Jesus Christ; to support Christian Education, Home and Foreign Missions, and the Youth Ministry; to promote spiritual growth and leadership training while demonstrating Christian love for all man-kind, especially to woman of our local churches, unions, associations, and this convention, and to encourage all participants to support “Power 20” financial program.

MISSION STATEMENT

Is to provide an opportunity and environment for the young women to participate in the convention setting; to recruit, revive, and restore young women (between the ages of 26-45)  to the fellowship of this convention, through a relevant curriculum of self-development that will prepare them to handle issues that may plague their lives and local churches; to be an incubator for the Women’s Department while fostering love, humility and unity throughout this convention, and to encourage all participants to support “Power 20” financial program.

MINISTERS WIVES & WIDOWS DEPARTMENT

MISSION STATEMENT

The purpose is to train, educate and support ministers wives and widows, in the work and role of a minister’s wife, through workshops, support groups, and other Initiatives, thereby enriching their lives, ministries and the local churches, while fostering love, humility and unity throughout this convention, and to encourage all participants to support “Power 20”financial program.

The purpose of this auxiliary is to equip, educate and motivate young pastors and ministers’ wives; to promote and encourage their husband (with the spirit of Abigail) as he carries out the mission and mandate of the kingdom, while maintaining the spirit of love, humility and unity throughout the local churches, associations and this convention, and to encourage all participants to support “Power 20” financial program.

Our vision is to enlighten, encourage, equip and empower LOCAL MISSION PRESIDENTS to become involved in the work of MISSION, EDUCATION, and EVANGELISM at the Local Churches, District Associations and this State Convention. We recognize the need for change in today’s high tech society, and the wisdom to depend on God for it to happen and to encourage all participants to support “Power 20” financial program.
