Dear Pastors, Christian Education Directors, Congress Messengers:


I greet you in the name of the Great Head of the Church, Jesus Christ. I trust the past months have been successful and spirit filled. I am excited about our upcoming State Congress, August 3 - 7 at the Doubletree Hotel at the entrance to Universal Orlando - 5780 Major Boulevard, Orlando, FI 32819 - (407) 351-1000. Please receive this Pre-Enrollment Package and complete it as soon as you can. We want to do the very best job possible for all of you in processing your enrollment, and producing our Congress.


We must receive both the payment and enrollment sheet completed properly no later than Thursday, July 23 in the Daytona Beach Headquarters in order to be pre-enrolled. Everyone after that date should bring enrollment to Orlando at the Annual Session. We have included a sheet that spells out the various enrollment amounts for our churches. All pre-enrollment monies should be sent to the Daytona Beach Headquarter location. Make hotel reservations directly with the hotel, the room are priced at $105.00 per night.


Please remember the Presidential Scholarship Luncheon on Thursday $50.00 and the Pageant performance on Friday $10.00. Both of these are ticketed events. We need your support and involvement.


We have enclosed all the registration information you will need to get prepared for the upcoming session. Please note carefully again the following:


Congress will be called to order Monday August 4 at 1:30 p.m. Afternoon classes begin on Monday afternoon at 3:00 following the opening of Congress.

Hotel registration MUST be received by July 17, 2009 in order to the processed with the advertised rates.
Send directly to the hotel.

Church registration MUST have the name, address, and course number desires of all messengers. Send directly to Daytona Beach headquarters all with proper fees.

Please state name, address, city and zip of the person you wish this acknowledgement be mailed to.

All Congress Workers, Teachers, Staff MUST be included on their Church registration as messengers. Otherwise you will need to register individually.

Please include the registration fee. Registration will not be processed without registration fees, payable to FGBC - Congress - Memo-Church Enrollment - 2009.

Hotel information - The Doubletree Hotel at the entrance to Universal Orlando,. 5780 Major Blvd., Orlando, FI 32819 - (407) 351-1000. Driving instructions: Florida Turnpike to 1-4 West at Exit 259. Exit 1-4 at 75B, S. Kirkman Road, North to Major Blvd turn right into hotel. The hotel is across from the entrance to Universal Studios.

Faculty meeting will be held at the hotel @10:00 a.m. - all staff is asked to be present Monday morning August 3, 2009. The Congress officially opens at 2:30 pm. Monday afternoon, with afternoon COPP courses starting at 3:00.

Housing Information

 

Make your hotel reservations NOW.  Don’t wait until the last minute.

Deadline to make reservations is July 10, 2009.

 

Reservations may be made in any one of the following ways:

  1. By completing and mailing the ‘Housing Reservation Form’ to the hotel. (click here)

  2. By calling of faxing reservations to the hotel with credit card information.

  3. By making reservations directly online with the hotel using credit card.  (click here)

 

Listed below are a few tips that will make the reservation process much smoother for you.

  1. If you choose to make reservations using method 2 or 3 above, it is not necessary to mail a Housing Reservation Form to the hotel.

  2. A one night deposit is required for each room reserved.

  3. Multiple rooms must have a different name for each room requested.

  4. No checks of any kind will be accepted at check in or check out.  All checks must be received at hotel by July 23.  Please adhere to the deadline for having checks at the hotel (NO exceptions).  Include hotel confirmation number on check.

  5. Tax exemption is allowed only when check or credit card matches the name on the tax certificate.
